Dimensional flowers Step by Step
Join us as Melanie Douthit teaches us to make dimensional flowers with the September Full Tart kit:
Supplies:
-Patterned Paper
-Circle punches or other cutting system
-Scissors
-Stapler
1. Using paper from September Full Tart kit, cut 4 circles, approx. 3″ each.[photopress:douthit_step1_septhalf.jpg,full,centered]
2. After you cut your circles, use scissors to cut fringes all around the circle. You may cut through multiple layers at a time.[photopress:douthit_step2_septhalf.jpg,full,centered]
3. After you fringe the circles, crumple each circle in your hand. You may also lightly sand the circles with sandpaper for further distressing. The more you crumple, the fluffier the flower.[photopress:douthit_step3_septhalf.jpg,full,centered]
4. To assemble the flower, layer each section on top of the other. Staple all layers in the centre. Fluff the petals as desired[photopress:douthit_step4_septhalf.jpg,full,centered]
5. Embellish the centre as desired with flowers and buttons and adhere to your project.[photopress:douthit_step5_septhalf.jpg,full,centered]WOW – is it really that easy? Thanks for showing us how Melanie!
