Julie has some fantastic advice:

Have you ever come across a sticker that you wanted to use but the colours were just that little bit too bright for your layout or card?

Well, grab a sanding block. On a small area of one of the not-so-favourite stickers, roughly sand just to see what it would look like.

If you like the effect, do it on the sticker you want to use on your layout or card. Once you have the look you are after, give it a swipe with your pine cone ink pad (or another brown ink) and then add it to your page.
