Customised Flowers

I have been playing with this gorgeous kit this month:
The FULL TART. Sooooo pretty!
The first thing I was drawn to was the pearl centres! Nice! So I carefully pulled a bunch of stamens out of the middle of one of the batik flowers:
And replaced them with a pearl centre:
Oooooh! Pretty!
Then with the stamens I was no longer using, I seperated the bunch into smaller piles of 3 stamens each. I twisted the stems together with a bit of glue on my fingers and then threaded these through a pin-pricked hole in the centre of a green flower. This made a really cute little flower on a stem:
When customising flowers, stickles, kindyglitz, glitter and glimmermist are your friend! It’s the easiest way to alter a blossom.
Here, I pulled the flower petals apart and sprayed them with pink glimmermist (See the mess I made!!!??) Then I coated the stamens in ice stickles (kindyglitz is basically the same)
When it’s dry, reassemble, and now you have a shimmery flower that goes really well with the Pink Paislee glitter alpha!
Have fun personalising your flowers!

you are the queen of all that glitters and is girlie! I love it. What a great idea using the stamens on the little flowers too!
Beautiful !!
