This fortnights product challenge for the Design Team was to use the Christmas Sheers from the Lime Tart shop!

Here are a few of the wonderful projects that the Design Team came up with :
Julie made a beautiful christmas card.

From Nic, a beautiful pink and green mini album.  LOVE that shape! 

I have to admit, when I first saw the sheer, I thought I wanted to leave it as it was and use it for a Christmas placemat!

I love the texture and quality of the material – it’s somehow not at all like acrylic or transparency.

I thought it would make a good sturdy cover for my December Daily album.

So I started with Teresa Collins bracket board covers and used one as a template to cut out my sheer. It’s not attached in anyway, it just lays over the cover with the raw chipboard showing through. This really makes the words ‘pop’ I don’t even think the cover needs any more embellishing, which is great!

I also used it throughout as different shaped pages and overlays. I found it so easy to work with.

 

From Teresa: A tabbed mini book. 

I love how she has used some of the printed words from the sheer to make tabs… and wow, look at all that pretty ribbon!

  

Teresa also created this beautiful pink and blue christmas card

Isn’t it lovely? Soft and pretty with those non-traditional colours.

 

And finally from me, I created some cards also.

  I’ve cut the sheer into circles and used them as an overlay for a Christmas bauble card.  Look how different they look in different colours.  I added glitter to the edges to make it sparkle.  The leftovers of my sheer has already been claimed by my kids to use for craft over the holidays.  They were talking about making paper chains with red and pink cardstock and cutting the sheer into strips to use with them.  I’ll try to remember to take a photo.  I have to admit, I would have loved to use it as a placemat too, as Nic said!!!
