Philippa gave me some Prima felt stems to do a product showcase with. As these are something I had never played with before it was a challenge to try and do something different with the three that were in the pack.

After a visit to the Prima gallery for some inspiration I got to work on two of the stems.

For the first one I wanted to shabby it up a bit so I stuck it onto some scrap card and then smeared it with a light coat of  texture paste followed by a swipe with a pine cone ink pad before peeling it of the scrap card and adding to a layout with a few sprays from a Prima vine.

The stark green colour of the original stem didn’t go with this shabby style layout.

For the next one I used it as it was layered with the remaining part of the Prima vine that I cut up.

and by using cream based papers, a music sheet and masking tape I managed to get a shabby look to my layout without altering the stem.

Have you had a play with any of the Prima felt stems yet. I would love some other ideas for the last one I have to play with.
