Another flower for you all to try
I was at a local crop day during the week and loved the flowers on a friends layout that she made and thought I’d have a play with them too.
Here is what you need to do.
Cut your paper (thin is better) into a square. The bigger the square the bigger the flower. I have made up several. One each at 4,3 and 2 inches. This one is 3 inches.
Fold in half
Then in half again.
Fold again to form a triangle.
Trim outside edge of triangle so it sort of resembles an ice cream cone.
Unfold and place on mat right side down. Pop a button in the middle
Then gather up the edges of the paper and twist around the button.
Using string (as I didn’t have any rubber bands) tie it under the button, snipping off the ends, then unwrap the rest of the paper to form the petals of your flower.
Once you are happy with how it all sits you can embellish the centre and you have a new flower for your next project. I had fun making these flowers and they appeared on a few of my kit projects this month.
Here on a layout.
and here on a card.
If you try and do these flowers I’d love to see them. Add a link in the comments here and I will check them out.
