Shadow box card step post

I am not a mini album girl usually and when I had one in my Half Tart kit this month I wasn’t sure what to do with it.

I did use some on one of my layouts.

Then I decided to use the leftover pages to make a Shadow box card.

Here are the steps I took to create it:

Trim down two of the pages to 5 1/2 inches and score from each end at 1/2 and 1 inch.

Fold along the score lines of both pieces as shown and add to one some patterned paper, or in my case my fence image trimmed to 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches, a cut out laying Nora and some more grass.

On the other piece you will need to cut out an oval window from the center panel and from a 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch patterned paper square to cover the card front.

I had used nearly all of my kit papers so used some Scribble Scrabble from a past kit.

Add double sided tape between the edge of the card and the first fold and layer both sections together.

Now you have them together you can embellish your card.

How cute does Nora look peeking out from that window and the bonus is that the card will lay flat for posting.
