Going undercover

A little while back Philippa did a post about trimming your rubber stamps.

This is what happens if you DON’T trim them – you end up with extra ink from the excess rubber, which in turn ruins your stamped image.

This happened to my Whiff of Joy image I wanted to use for this card I made with the September Half Tart so I thought I’d show you how I rescued this one.

Using my trusty MS 3 in 1 Butterfly punch I punched out some butterflies and carefully placed them over the excess ink.

I then proceeded to design my card solely around this.

And I was quite happy with the end result.

If I didn’t tell, you would never know that there was something underneath those butterflies.

Edited to add by Philippa – this is the card that Tanya made that inspired me to position my butterflies the same way on yesterday’s card.
