Step by Step – Christmas Gift Boxes

Inspired by Teresa’s Pizza Box tutorial, I have created some boxes for small Christmas gifts.

The original tutorial is in inches. I have changed my measurements to centimetres. I have used the Limited Edition Kit.

Cut a piece of double sided patterned paper to measure 27.5cm x 15cm.

Score along the long side at 2.5cm, 12.5cm, 15cm & 25cm. Rotate the paper and score along the short side at 2.5cm & 12.5cm.

Your paper should look like this:

Cut the scorelines along the long edge as shown:

Once you have done this it is easy to fold it into a box and lid shape. Use doublesided tape on the flaps to adhere it all together. Use a punch to put a finger hole into the lid – this really helps with opening your box.

You’re all done! Now decorate it. This box is mine:

This box was made by my 10 year old daughter. She used Copic Markers to colour in the chipboard.

This is a box that I made a few months ago for a demonstration.

They are so, so easy! You won’t be able to stop at one. Experiment with different sizes and come back and show us if you make one, or more.

We used lots of punches in this post. The black half circle punch is by Stampin’ Up and the rest are by Martha Stewart.
