Washi tape addiction
I have to admit that I didn’t understand the Washi Tape fad until I actually bought some for myself to try. Now I get it! I can’t explain it, but I have it – quite bad. I think my absolute favourite design of the moment is the Ophelia Insanity Script.
Customers who have had orders sent out in the latter part of last week will probably have their wrapping taped with this Washi. I’ve been sticking it on everything.
Last night I had a play with a few different tapes trying to come up with some ideas on how to use it.
Here is part of my card. The weather has been atrocious here lately, with storms just appearing out of thin air. Lots of thunder, lightning and large hailstones; so I wasn’t able to get a decent full photo.
I’ve used three different Washi Tapes for this card. The Ophelia Insanity Script as a frame for the image. The pink dotty Washi for the flower, and the white with green dots for the leaves. For the flower, I tore off two strips and stuck them together back to back. I then rolled it up into a flower using these instructions. For the leaves, I stuck the Washi onto vellum and then cut out using the Cheery Lynn Olive Branches die. The stamp is Framed Florals by Paula.
So, have you fallen for the Washi fad? How do you use your Washi?
