You may not be aware, but we have our very own Stampavie Gallery.

These are a selection of cards the design team has made over the past few months. If you look closely, you can see a variety of ways to colour these beautiful images – watercolour paints or watercolour pencils, Copic markers, pencils.

They can be made colourful,

or left monochromatic.

Many of the images can be paper pieced,

and my personal favourite – some images are really effective left completely UNcoloured!

These images can look fabulous, any way you choose to treat them!

For this month, I got the A La Tarte to play with…and along with the beautiful bright papers and great felt flowers, was this cute little Sarah Kay stamp. Just perfect for some cards!

I love to make sets of cards and this is probably the best idea for creating several cards easily – - - copy your own cards!! I started with the ‘wish’ card. I think pretty much copied the card with different colouring and papers.

So next time you create a card, or even a page that you particularly like, treat it like a sketch and try making multiples of the same design.

Back into the swing!

Well we’ve had a nice little break from blogging over the Christmas break and now it’s time to get back into the swing of things.

The Lime Tart girls and myself will be posting six days per week hoping to inspire you and tempt you.

First up is a card that I made over the past two weeks – yep it took me that long! The mojo has been lacking over Christmas. Or was it because I was too lazy to grab the sewing machine out of the cupboard?

Stamps: First Kiss, Sentiments #1
Papers: My Mind’s Eye Love Me Do
Punches: Martha Stewart Garden Trellis, Martha Stewart Pop-up butterfly edger (I’ve used the butterfly punch outs and not the border)
Technique: I’ve partially paper pieced the main image and watercoloured the smaller details. I’ve also used a white gel pen for a few highlights. You can see a close up of the paper piecing here:

Simply stunning sentiments

I’ve been holding my breath for the past week waiting on the latest Stampavie stamps to arrive. Obviously this parcel was caught up in the post with lots of Christmas parcels! But they are now here safe and sound and have been uploaded to the site.

Lots of restocks, lots of new images, but most importantly the much anticipated Sentiments sets. We had both sets in kits for December. #1 is in the A la Tarte which is still available to purchase. #2 was in the Gourmet Tart which we have sold out of.

But now you can buy them separately too! These sets are a bargain at $12, they are the perfect size and they stamp beautifully. Not too sappy either, lol, I’m not one for overly sappy sentiments.

This card is by Teresa using the A la Tarte. Just goes to show how stunning a simple card can be.
